Hello Budapest

After living in different cities in different countries and experiencing different cultures and environments eventually I moved to Budapest in Hungary, after a long marathon managed to get a work permit and now can focus on my dream job. There are some reasons that I chose this city, One of them is I have family here and also I traveled here before a lot and fell in love with the city, and while I was in the Hague and during the pandemic and living in a tiny room in a small flat shared with other flatmates and staring at the monitor for long hours, and panicking to go out because the virus, I decided it is better to live close to family members. So I moved to Budapest and I met lovely people and I am enjoying it. By looking at my journey in the past two years, I started it individually with a blog and I named it rezgamedev, now it calls REZGAMEDEV KFT, KFT stands for LLC, and at the moment we are making some prototypes that will announce later, but for now we started a clothing campaig...

Experience of releasing my first mobile game

I am writing this blog after months of staying home because of Covid-19, I hope everyone is safe. So this pandemic started and I kept applying for jobs and writing cover letter and started enjoying playing PS4, then in the meanwhile, I started to think about trying to make a 2d game.
Here are what I experienced:

First I decided to make a free game that uses ads inside of it, and release it for Google Play Store, designing a game level and developing it was one challenge and making the UI system and Menu and other things was another big challenge.

So I decided to make 8 levels for this game and release the other levels in different updates, I made the game really simple that it just uses the right and left button and challenges the player to remember the paths and by repeating can find the way to finish the level.

Then the other challenge was how to place the ads inside the game, I use Google Admob, and placed banner ads in every level and Interstitial ads at the end of some of the levels, I created some traps in the game if the player got into it, by watching rewarded ads can open the way and continue or just restart the game. So I implemented these ads with the test ads that AdMob provided and it was working perfectly till I released and the rewarded ads were not working but eventually, after a few days, it started working. Then I decided to use the mediation and add Unity ads in the game as well, I followed the instructions and now I am waiting till google release my Update to see if it is working.

Google Play Console is a different challenge, the first thing everyone needs to have a developer account and the cost of it is 25 dollars, I was googling before how should I submit the game, how long it takes to publish the game and …, When I started to upload my first APK, first thing google said that my build should be 64 bits and use IL2CPP and …, So it took a while to fix this and building and testing the game with 64 bits on my laptop is so slow. Then I found that I have to write a Privacy Policy as well, I do not know how to write that so I used https://www.freeprivacypolicy.com/ to write this and it was not free at all.

After all these things in Google Play Console, I finally managed to submit the APK, and I found that it takes 7 days till Google publish the app. Well, that’s a bummer. It took about 5 days till my Game got released I started testing it and found some bugs, I fixed them and submitted again and it seems it takes another 7 days till Google publish that as well.

While I was doing this process I googled a lot and watched lots of Youtube videos as well, and most of the useful videos I found was in Indian and I think I should consider learning Indian during the lockdown, I also considering releasing my game for Apple app store as well, I found that I can also release it for Amazon App Store as well.

In the next post, I will update you with more details about the game and download links.

Estonian E residency

During the lockdown while everyone started working from home, Estonian E residency and digital nomad lifestyle started to pop up, I said well let’s give it a try and see how it works. From the link below can apply for an Estonian E residency card. https://e-resident.gov.ee/become-an-e-resident/ it requires some documents such as a Passport, some details such as why you are interested to apply for this card, and a proper photo with their standards and payment of 120 euros. Also have to choose a pickup location, which I found out it is not available in some countries. The process in total was smooth and after 3 weeks I received an email to go and collect my card from the embassy, while I was living in the Hague, the embassy was close to me and I made an appointment and at the embassy, they collected my fingerprints and it was ready. What can we do with this E Residency? In simple words, if you are interested to have a company inside Europe, with this E Residency card yo...

Banking experience in the Netherlands

Having a bank account is one of the essentials for wherever the world you are living and it is the same in the Netherlands, but opening a bank account in the Netherlands if you just arrived is not easy. Here is what I experienced: First, when you arrive in the Netherlands you have to know that if you are not in Amsterdam, most of the shops do not accept MasterCards and Visa Cards, They just accept V Pay or Maestro cards. So, you have to go to the ATM all the time and do shopping in cash, which is so inconvenient. The Netherlands has some banks the most common ones are ING and ABN Ambro and Rabobank. I use ING, and to be honest it is so inconvenient especially for online shopping. For online shopping, you have to use IDEAL which is a third-party app that makes it possible to shop with your bank account, and mostly online shops inside the Netherlands have that, so if you want to shop from a platform outside of the Holland you would have a problem because most of them ...
